Sunday, September 11, 2011: Archery BBQ at Mile Square Park

A fairly sizeable group of us from the Kuk Sool Kwan training headed up to Mile Square Park and spent the day on a really sumptuous potluck BBQ, then migrated over to the targets where we shot until sundown. In a memorable opener, we shot 3 out of 5 bullseyes from 30 yards off the hand, completely showing up the people on the next target over who were shooting with modern compound bows with targetting sights. lol Use your feelings and let go your conscious self!

It’s true. Davis Ho, longtime student and blue belt in Kuk Sool Kwan, made his mark at the longstanding Long Beach International, famous for being the place where Bruce Lee first demonstrated the one inch punch and Ed Parker established American martial arts as we know them. Congratulations to Davis Ho for this final achievement before he heads off to college at UC Santa Barbara this September.
