Atma Yoga

The Atmananda Yoga Sequence is a well-balanced 70-pose vinyasa yoga sequence influenced by the Ashtanga, Iyengar, Kundalini, and Bikram traditions.

Its practice leads to the development of strength, balance, flexibility, and stamina of the mind and body while accelerating the detoxification process. In a vinyasa flow practice, the breath guides physical movements. Pranayama (the control of the breath or life force) and Asana (postures) work together to leave the practitioner feeling energized and uplifted.

Students of all ages and levels are welcome.

Classes are offered Tues and Friday from 4:00 – 5:15pm, and from 11:00am – 12:30 pm on Thursday mornings. A 2-hour session is offered Fridays from 2:00 – 4:00pm. All classes are taught by Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Nina Raab.

The two-hour sessions are slower and recommended for students who are interested in developing isometric muscle endurance. Isometric holds are very effective in increasing joint strength and stability as well as muscle endurance.
